Green Office Furniture

Posted by on Thursday, March 17th, 2016 in Furniture Design.

Green is my all time favorite color and though it has been popular in the office furniture industry for quite some time, it wasn’t until I discovered the Swedish office furniture company Edsbyn that I was really able to appreciate it’s use. Edsbyn has some beautiful modern office furniture designs and their range of green standard upholstery fabrics is fantastic!

I especially love the brand new Gather “cross-over” sofa designed by Andreas Engesvik (pictured first). Do you have a favorite piece of green furniture at home or in the work place?

Green Scene

Bar Central in Stockholm, Sweden is where I am taking you today to see just how easy it can be to be green. Designed by Uglycute, this bar/restaurant pushes the boundaries with contrasting colors, bold pattern, and unique lighting.

Bar Central

Channeling nature, green is said to be calming and easy on the eyes, promoting rest and relaxation. This bar, however, uses green in a large way with high-contrasting elements, like this red for instance. Normally this would be very jarring, but the bold chevron pattern on the ceiling and neutral furniture allow our eyes to move up and around the room with ease.

That lighting though! I just have to say first that it is uncommon to see arc lamps in a restaurant. Secondly, they are absolutely perfect in this space. They tie into the globe pendants in a peculiar way but I am not upset by it, not one bit! They add so much charm and character.

Bar Central

All in all I absolutely adore this space and will definitely enjoy a beer here if I am ever in Sweden. Gillar du den? Do you like it?

Gold Mine

Posted by on Sunday, March 13th, 2016 in Miscellaneous.

The new gold trend has me desiring all things gold, and I have had a lot of fun searching and shopping for what my heart desires. Fact: I just want it all! So, if I had to narrow it down, these are just some of the fun gold things that I want to be mine!

Above Images: 1.Tiffany & Co. | 2.Jamberry | 3.Swarovski | 4.Urban Decay | 5.H&M | 6.Umbra | 7.Anthropologie

1. I absolutely love the femininity of this bracelet, and it’s from Tiffany’s…no further explanation needed! 2. This nail wrap, called Gladiator, is perfect for the work day or a night out. 3. Stylish sunglasses like these can take any outfit from dull to glamorous. 4. A bit of shimmer on the eyelid is supposed to make you look more awake, and definitely on-trend! 5. As a collector of bottle openers this one is a MUST have. 6. Greenery has hit a whole new level and this ‘diamond’ display is so playful. 7. Every girl should feel like a movie star and this chair does just that. Give me a beautiful French provincial vanity and I’m all set!
