Hey there! I hope everyone is ready for Thanksgiving this Thursday! I stopped at the store last night to pick up a last few items for my dinner plans. Nothing special, but I thought it would be fun to share with you what I had on the menu. But first, let’s talk about this last weekend!
Every November marks a major time of year for a lot of people…because it is deer hunting season! That’s right, my last weekend was spent hunting with my dad. It always makes for a fun but tiring weekend. Waking up at 3:30 in the morning is not the easiest thing to do, let alone layering on clothes to withstand sitting in 30° weather. All in all it is worth it and I enjoy having some quiet time in the woods with nature.
These are a couple of pictures I took while waiting patiently for, well, nothing! It was not a good year this year with extreme winds and such a drastic change day to day in temperature. Still, I had a great time, and even got some acorn squash from the farm we hunt (which you will see my Thanksgiving menu).
I have mentioned before that I love to cook, but I have a lot of the usuals that I plan to make this year. Mainly it is to keep things simple, but also, why change something if it isn’t broken, right? Here’s a list of what I will be serving:
It all sounds so good – I cannot wait! Clean up, though, I can wait for that. Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoys some good food and desserts.
