I have been working hard to increase my reading time but let’s face it, with life being so busy and time moving faster than ever, it has been difficult for me to just sit a while and read. I am not a huge reader, AT ALL. Really, I normally never read and would say it’s my least favorite thing to do, but it has been on my list of things that I want to learn to love. Running is also on that list and I have (sort of) conquered that! So here it goes, this is what I am currently reading:
I am only a little ways into this book but so far so good! I have been wanting to better my eating habits and in reading Vegan for Her by Virginia Messina, I hope to improve my diet by making it more well rounded and custom to my own self. In any case I recommend it for the dietary information on eating a plant-based diet as well as for the recipes.
Related to the book above, I was hoping to find easy recipes for myself, and while I am enjoying some of the recipes in Quick and Easy Vegan Slow Cooking by Carla Kelly, I’m afraid some of them still seem time consuming. However, with the summer heat upon us, slow cookers are the way to go, making this book a great resource when it’s simply too hot to run the oven.
More or less this is a great picture book. Every now and again we need a break but moreover I love the inspiration I am getting from Kitchens & Baths by Candice Olson. She is a great designer and includes hand drawings that are just wonderful. A perfect coffee table book if you ask me.
Let me know if you happen to pick any of these up and give them a try! Please feel free to make some recommendations – at this time I don’t have a ‘to read’ list and would love any an all suggestions. Thanks and happy reading!
