Having Fun with Evergreen

Posted by on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 in Interior Design.

Not sure what it is lately, but I have been gravitating toward the color evergreen. Over the weekend I went shopping and saw a lot of this color in the stores. Maybe it’s due to ‘back-to-school’ and fall being near, but this color is lookin’ good and I want more of it!

I haven’t done a room mock-up in a while so I found a few awesome items in evergreen and pulled together a little seating area. Here it is!

Evergreen Tea and a Good Book

Above Items (left to right): Anthropologie Premium Leather Roadway Chair | 1stdibs 19th Century Signed Bull Dog Oil Painting | Safavieh Ralph Lauren Collection Four Corners | Plantation Renzo Gold Leaf Shelf Green | Surya Maddox Vase | Surya Battista Vase | Anthropologie Premium Leather Mina Armchair | Jonathan Adler Rio Pendant Lamp

I absolutely adore the combination of evergreen and gold. They both offset one another nicely with the rich, warm green and shiny, metallic gold. In love!! I started with this idea and found the shelf as a jumping off point. From there I selected two cozy chairs – one with a stool for added comfort of course! The rug adds some texture and fluidity in line. The globe pendant adds more gold accent while also adding some softness. Finish that with some accessories and a whimsical dog painting, and you have yourself an inspiring space. This little room setting is just the perfect place to sit and relax with a good book.

I hope you enjoyed this room, and if you would like to see more of these mock-ups let me know. Also, there is not much time left for summer, so I hope everyone is getting in those last few trips to the beach before it is too late. Thanks for following and talk with you again soon!
