Furniture Redesign Process
Let us take you through the furniture redesign process.
Fill Out Form
Fill out form and select appropriately from the drop-down menu what we will be working on together. Let us know in the comments further information about your project and click ‘submit’.
We will reply within 1-3 business days by email with more information about our pricing and offer to set up a phone consult to discuss the project, but mainly to get to know one another and see that we are a good fit.
Arrangements will be made to meet and discuss the scope of the project. An estimate of our design fees will be given to you and agreed upon after this meeting and a legal form to guarantee services and payment will need to be signed by both parties.
We will take into account all of what was discussed to develop 3-5 design ideas for your furniture piece(s). These will be presented either as hand sketches and renderings or computer generated renderings. This typically takes 2-3 business days but can vary depending on the scale of the project. Half of the total payment will be required before this design process begins.
Another meeting will be arranged to present our designs and gain feedback. Final design plans may be developed at this point, but again this can vary depending your feedback and the scale of the project. We will also pick up the furniture piece(s) at the end of this meeting.
If design changes were requested then we will present our final design(s) either in person or via email in 1-2 business days.
Once a final design has been agreed upon we will begin renovating the piece(s). The renovation process usually takes between 1-2 weeks depending on the scope of the project. (* All painted wood will be coated with varnish and/or polyurethane for added protection and ease of cleaning unless otherwise requested.)
We will then hand deliver the piece back to your home where we will receive the rest of our payment and place the piece in its perfect new home.
Enjoy! Each piece that is redesigned by R&WD is a unique work of art and is meant to be enjoyed for both its utilitarian use as well as its artistry and whimsical charm.
