One of the best places in town to grab a warm chai tea and get some work done is Lantern Coffee Bar & Lounge. Steph and I frequent here for the delicious drinks, quiet atmosphere and reliable wifi. We had a meeting here Tuesday and bumped into our friend Diane who was willing to snap a couple of pictures of Steph and I in our relaxed attire.
Steph is wearing her new favorite top from Limited with a dramatic high-low hem. This tank is polished enough for work yet can also be worn with shorts, as seen here, for a more casual look. Steph has completed this outfit with a long simple necklace and a comfortable pair of neutral shoes.
I am wearing a striped top that my mother brought me last week, which features an empire waist and accommodates the bump well. This was paired with some comfortable maternity leggings, and my favorite heather white sweater. I completed the look with a pink flower hair pin, my staple Tiffany necklace and a pair of comfortable grey shoes.
We both kept our outfits pretty simple and neutral this time. I think the reason for this is that it is easiest to create quick casual outfits when you are working with a more neutral pallet. Bright colors are so fun but can sometimes be challenging to pair with the correct accessories.
On another note, Steph and I went to Wolverine Worldwide’s United Way Super Mega Shoe Sale yesterday. Coincidentally, the shoes Steph is wearing above we got at last years shoe sale. This year seemed crazier than last though, with people pushing through the crowd to get the best deals. We even showed up late and people were still going nuts! In spite of feeling overwhelmed and frustrated we were able to pull it together and find some good deals. Maybe we will be sporting some of our fancy new footwear in a future W.E.A.R post!
Happy Friday everyone, the weekend is almost upon us! Brian and I are looking forward to spending a relaxing weekend with family and friends and hope that you get to do the same!
