Gardening Garments

Posted by on Friday, May 13th, 2016 in Fashion.

Much like any sport, activity, or hobby, there is usually a certain attire associated that better assists with the task at hand. Same goes for gardening. Believe it or not there is a huge world out there for gardening gear, attire, accessories, and so on. So, I have compiled for you some of my favorite styles that have both form and function so that you can look your best and do your best when landscaping.

Garden Girl Garden Glove

I would like to start strong with some garments by Garden Girl, a company that offers working gear for the working woman, made by women, for women. I adore their use of floral prints and feminine colors. I have shown some of my favorites but feel free to check out their gardening gear and accessories.

Bib Pant | Garden Short | Short Sleeve Top

A necessary item when getting down in the dirt is an apron. It protects your under attire and can even have pockets to hold your tools. Artifact Bag Co. has some amazing options. They are all handmade in Omaha, NE using the finest of materials. Might I add – they have some pretty neat bags too!

Artisan Apron | Bistro Apron

Another must have would be a great hat to protect against the sun’s rays. Find one with a large brim, and ideally one that is made of a breathable material so you don’t get overheated. This visor works well in both of these cases and has a fun tie-back.

Women’s Rita Visor

Lastly, some sort of boot will be needed when trekking through the dirt. BOGS has an Urban Farmer collection with a variety of options to choose from. They are waterproof and therefore perfect for gardening.

Don’t forget to put on some sunscreen and make some iced tea before getting to work. I have a feeling they will be much needed this summer! Again, let us know your thoughts in the comments. We would love to hear from you. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed these options.
